Regional Championship WorldSkills Russia "Young Professionals

On December 21 the VI Open Regional Championship WorldSkills Russia "Young Professionals" has finished in St. Petersburg. International Jewellery School took a participance in the event and acted as a member of the jury in the competence of jewelry making, represented by General Director Roman Karakurkchi.

The competition was held in two age categories: under 16 years and 16 to 22 years. In each category there were three prize-winners who will be included in the team from St. Petersburg for further participation in the championship at the national level.

WorldSkills is an international non-commercial movement, which purpose is the development of professional education and staff training, based on the best world practices, one of which is jewelry skill. International Jewellery School, as one of the most popular new generation commercial jewellery schools in the world and Russia, is a permanent member of the jury and a member of the expert community of the Jewellery Making competency.

 "It's great that there are professional competitions like the WorldSkills championship. This international movement is popular all over the world and contributes to the improvement of professional standards, which coincides with the mission of our school," said Roman Karakurkchi, CEO of International Jewellery School.
